Mission Statement
The mission of Morris Elementary School District 54 is to provide a high quality education which encourages lifelong learning and enables students to develop their academic, social, and civic potential.
History
Before White Oak Elementary School was established, District 54 had three elementary buildings. Franklin School was the kindergarten, early education, and administrative building. Garfield School was home to the district's first and second graders. Third, fourth, and fifth graders attended Center School.
On Monday, August 27, 2001, White Oak Elementary opened its doors, combining all of the students from the previous three buildings. White Oak is home to 921 students and teaches grades PreK - 5.
